Inspired by Alexandra Shulman

Like Vogue, it’s former editor-in-chief, Alexandra Shulman presents a sophisticated style with a minimalistic flare across her online presence. Whether it be twitter, Facebook or her website, there is a noticeable continuity throughout.

Alexandra Shulman spent 25 years at the helm of the British edit of one of the worlds most renowned fashion magazines and has worked with the biggest names in fashion but that’s not all. Shulman also has a passion for art and charity. She has been a Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery and The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and is an honorary fellow of the University of the Art. Her passion for these things inspire some of the discussions and posts on her social media, a platform she also uses to chat to her followers about her book “Inside Vogue: My Diary Of Vogue’s 100th Year”, published in 2016.

Although she keeps her social media content professional, it is worth noting that these platforms are what she uses to communicate and respond to the public. This is perhaps why all of her social media maintain a chatty, friendly and personal tone.

As someone who has always been interested in the magazine industry, particularly that of high-end fashion, Alexandra Shulman is someone I find very inspiring. Not only because of her long reign for such a respected magazine and her incredible achievements along the way, but because of how she presents herself.
